Minos of the Griffon

☠️ Specter of Hades — Judge of the Underworld / Griffon Surplice

Minos is one of the three Judges of the Underworld alongside Aiacos and Rhadamanthus — a formidable trinity entrusted by Hades with the mission of weighing souls and pronouncing sentences in the Underworld. Clad in the Griffon Surplice, a mythological creature half-eagle half-lion symbolizing authority and power, Minos embodies the very idea of implacable judgment: cold, methodical, irrevocable.

His technique Cosmic Marionnetion is the perfect reflection of his philosophy. By manipulating opponents like marionettes, Minos does not seek to destroy them — he seeks to control them, to demonstrate that all resistance is futile against a power that operates above individual will. It is the technique of a Judge, not a soldier: Minos does not fight on equal terms, he decides the outcome before the battle even begins.

Abilities & Techniques

Cosmic Marionnetion
Minos projects invisible cosmos threads that attach to the opponent's body and take total control of it. The opponent becomes a marionette whose strings Minos pulls, unable to resist or act according to their own will.
Judge's Authority
As a Judge of the Underworld, Minos possesses a cosmic authority aura that transcends mere combat power. His Griffon Cosmos emits psychological pressure that disrupts the opponent's concentration even before the first exchange.
Griffon Surplice
The Griffon — a mythological creature with the body of a lion and the head of an eagle — is the symbol of divine power and vigilance. His surplice amplifies Minos's dominance in combat and extends the reach of his cosmos threads.

Evolution

01 —Judge of the Underworld — Minos is one of the three Judges of the Underworld, alongside Aiacos and Rhadamanthus. This trinity is directly appointed by Hades to weigh the souls of the deceased and distribute sentences. The Judges occupy a unique position — above ordinary specters, directly below the gods Hypnos and Thanatos.
02 —Cosmic Marionnetion — His marionette control technique is particularly formidable because it denies the opponent's agency. Unlike destructive techniques that seek to defeat a resisting opponent, Cosmic Marionnetion makes resistance itself impossible. The enemy becomes a tool of Minos.
03 —Symbol of the Griffon — The Griffon Surplice is one of the most visually imposing surplices. Half-lion half-eagle, the Griffon unites terrestrial and celestial dominance. Minos, like his surplice, reigns over multiple dimensions at once — he judges the dead and fights the living.

Characteristics
Minos does not fight — he judges. Where a fighter seeks to win, Minos seeks to pronounce a sentence. And the sentences of the Judges of the Underworld are final.
His Griffon Cosmos carries the solemnity of the Underworld — not the rage of a warrior, but the cold gravity of a judicial authority. Against Minos, resistance is possible. Being wrong before him is not.
