Bronze Knights

Athena's Warriors — Burning Cosmos

The Bronze Knights form the first rank of the Order of Athena's Knights. Although they wear the lowest-ranked armors, their Burning Cosmos — multiplied tenfold by their unshakeable friendship and their will to protect others — regularly elevates them to the level of the Gold Knights.

The five protagonists — Seiya, Shiryu, Hyoga, Shun and Ikki — are orphans sent to the four corners of the world to train and obtain their Cloth. Their reunion marks the beginning of an epic that will cross the Sanctuary, the seas of Poseidon, the plains of Asgard and the depths of Hades.

The Five Heroes

Seiya
SeiyaPegasusRyūsei Ken

The main protagonist, Seiya is a determined and impulsive orphan whose Cosmos burns like a star. Trained on Pakis Island in Greece, he obtains the Pegasus Cloth. His signature technique — the Ryūsei Ken (Meteor of Pegasus) — unleashes dozens of blows at the speed of light.

Shiryu

The most stoic of the five, Shiryu draws his strength from discipline and wisdom. Trained on Mount Lu Shan in China under the tutelage of Gold Knight Dohko, he masters the Rozan Shō Ryū Ha — a devastating Dragon of Cosmos. He does not hesitate to sacrifice his own life for his companions.

Hyoga

Master of absolute cold, Hyoga is calm and methodical. Trained in Siberia by Camus of Aquarius (his own Gold Knight master), he fights by lowering the temperature to absolute zero. Behind his cold facade hides a deep attachment to his mother who disappeared beneath the Siberian ice.

Shun

The gentlest and most empathetic of the five, Shun prefers to avoid violence. Yet when forced to fight, his cosmic chains are devastating. Trained on Andromeda Island, he is Ikki's younger brother. The revelation that his body is the vessel chosen by Hades is one of the most powerful dramatic arcs of the series.

Ikki

A lone wolf with a volcanic temperament, Ikki is Shun's older brother. Betrayed and tortured on the Island of Death, he returns with power multiplied tenfold by suffering. His Phoenix Cloth — the only one to regenerate automatically — makes him nearly invincible. He often fights alone, in his own way.
