Aiacos is not simply one Specter among many — he is one of the three Judges of the Underworld, the sovereign arbiters of the fate of departed souls. Alongside Minos and Rhadamanthys, he forms the judicial triad that presides over Hades' tribunal, deciding every soul's eternal destiny. Clad in the Garuda surplice — the legendary king of birds in Hindu mythology, enemy of serpents and servant of Vishnu — Aiacos bears the majesty of a creature that reigns over the skies just as he reigns over the judgment of souls.
His Galactic Illusion is a technique of rare sophistication among the Specters: it does not strike the body, it fractures perception. The opponent finds himself trapped in a reconstructed cosmic space, unable to distinguish reality from illusion, fighting shadows while Aiacos positions himself for the decisive assault. Garuda Flap, by contrast, is of direct violence — the explosion of a cosmos imitating the spread wings of the king of birds, sweeping everything within its range. Judge and warrior, Aiacos is one of the most dangerous Specters precisely because his power is not one-dimensional.
Abilities & Techniques
Galactic Illusion
Aiacos reconstructs his opponent's perceptual space on a galactic scale, creating an illusory cosmos indistinguishable from reality. Trapped in this fractured space, the opponent fights cosmos projections while Aiacos moves into position for the real strike.
Garuda Flap
Aiacos releases a cosmic explosion by imitating the titanic wing spread of the mythological Garuda. The resulting cosmic wave sweeps everything in its range with the force of a king of the skies in full flight.
Star of Superiority
His protective star is evident in every aspect of his identity: Aiacos is a being of superiority by nature — superiority of judgment, of cosmos, of position. He does not fight as an equal: he judges, and the sentence is carried out.
Evolution
01 —Judge of the Underworld — the sovereign triad — With Minos and Rhadamanthys, Aiacos forms the judicial triumvirate governing Hades' tribunal. In Greek mythology, Aeacus was one of the three judges of the dead — son of Zeus and a mortal nymph, known for his absolute integrity. In Saint Seiya, this legendary authority translates into a cosmos power exceeding that of ordinary Specters.
02 —The Garuda Surplice — The Garuda of Hindu mythology was the king of birds — a divine creature of such power that it rivals the gods. Aiacos bears this surplice because his judicial nature demands a creature that transcends ordinary categories. The Garuda does not fight for glory — it executes the decisions of the cosmic order.
03 —Star of Superiority — Being governed by the star of superiority places Aiacos in a particular position among the Specters. His superiority is not arrogance — it is the logical consequence of his function. A judge of the Underworld cannot afford equality: he must, by essence, stand above what he judges.
