Hades' SpectersAphrodite

Pisces Aphrodite

💀 Hades Specter — Pisces

There exists in the Saint Seiya universe a beauty that kills. Pisces Aphrodite is its most perfect and most unsettling incarnation. A former Gold Knight of Athena, returned to life under the dark surplice of Hades, he represents one of the most tragic figures in the saga: that of a man whose magnificence has become inseparable from death.

In Athena's lifetime, Aphrodite was already a singular character. His relationship with beauty was not aesthetic — it was a philosophy of combat. The roses he cultivated were not ornaments: they were weapons of surgical precision. His Piranha Rose, his Bloody Rose, each technique bore the same signature: death dressed in beauty, poison clothed in poetry. For Aphrodite, grace is not a promise of life — it is the mask of destruction.

His reincarnation as a Specter of Hades represents the ultimate degree of this trajectory. If other former Gold Knights retain a fragment of light in their new darkness — Camus's rigor, Saga's torment, Shura's wounded grandeur — Aphrodite seems to have surrendered without resistance. As if the Underworld were simply the logical culmination of a soul that never truly belonged to the light.

Abilities & Techniques

Piranha Rose
Aphrodite's most cruel technique: perfectly beautiful roses whose petals transform into carnivorous piranhas that literally devour the opponent's flesh. Death through beauty — a metaphor embodied in every petal.
Bloody Rose
A rose whose poisoned thorns penetrate the opponent's cosmos and intoxicate from within. Aphrodite uses this technique like a sentence: slow, inevitable, inexorable.

Evolution

01 —The most beautiful Gold Knight — and the coldest — Gold Knight of Pisces during Athena's lifetime, Aphrodite was already renowned for his beauty and cold cruelty. In him, the magnificence of appearance never masked a terrible truth: beauty can be the worst of weapons.
02 —Reincarnation as a descent into darkness — Returned to life under the surplice of Hades, Aphrodite embodies the tragic paradox of former Gold Knights reincarnated as Specters. What was light in him — his cosmos, his mastery — now serves death. His soul may no longer remember Athena, but his roses still speak of a time when he served life.
03 —Guardian of the gate of the Underworld — In the Hades saga, Aphrodite is the first bulwark the Bronze Knights face upon entering infernal territory. His role as guardian is in his image: dangerous, elegant, and bearer of a perfect death.

Characteristics
Beauty as violence. Aphrodite is the character who best embodies the corruption of the beautiful: his weapons are flowers, his techniques bear romantic names, but their reality is pure death. A paradox Kurumada pushed to its ultimate conclusion.
The tragedy of a former Gold Knight whose reincarnation erased all inner light. Aphrodite is perhaps the most 'lost' of the former Gold Saints: where Saga retained his duality, where Camus preserved his rigor, Aphrodite seems to be nothing more than the cold and deadly beauty of death.
