Aquarius Camus

💀 Hades Specter — Aquarius

Among the former Gold Knights reincarnated as Specters of Hades, Aquarius Camus is perhaps the one whose fate resonates with the most tragic coherence. Master of Cygnus Hyoga, he had devoted his life to teaching a merciless truth: to reach Absolute Zero, to master the ultimate cold, one must kill all human attachment within oneself. A philosophy taught through deliberate emotional wounds — abandoning his student, forcing him to sever the dearest bonds — to compel him to grow beyond his limits.

His reincarnation under the dark surplice of Hades is a perfect irony: the Knight of absolute coldness becomes a servant of the dead. Nothing of his essence changes — his rigor, his precision, his refusal of all sentimentality remain intact. Camus under the surplice of Hades is the same entity as Camus under the gold armor of Aquarius, simply freed from the last constraint that remained: loyalty to Athena.

His confrontation with Hyoga in the Hades saga is one of the most meaningful scenes in all of Saint Seiya. Two men whom the universe placed on opposite paths, bound by a master-disciple relationship that transcends their allegiance. In the violence of their duel, Camus offers Hyoga his final lesson — and this time, the positions are reversed: it is the student who must overcome the master to continue living.

Abilities & Techniques

Absolute Zero
The ultimate mastery of cold: Camus can lower the temperature to absolute zero (−273°C), a state where all matter ceases to move. Even an opponent's cosmos freezes in this state, condemning them to a silent and irremediable death.
Ice Coffin & Aurora Execution
Two complementary techniques inherited from his time as a Gold Knight: one imprisons the opponent in a perfect ice coffin, the other unleashes the full power of the Aurora in an explosion of deadly cold.

Evolution

01 —Hyoga's master — the most rigorous Gold Knight — Camus was the Gold Knight of Aquarius, mentor of Cygnus Hyoga and Kraken Isaac. He embodied an absolute vision of perfection: emotional coldness as the condition of progress. To teach, for him, was to sever bonds — so his students could become stronger than the attachments holding them back.
02 —Reincarnation — the same rigor in service of the Underworld — Returned under the dark surplice of Hades, Camus is perhaps the most 'coherent' of the former Knights reincarnated as Specters: his philosophy of absolute coldness adapts perfectly to the Underworld. He does not fight with hatred — he fights with the same cold precision he has always had, simply in service of a different master.
03 —Confrontation with Hyoga — the disciple against the master — The confrontation between Camus and Hyoga is one of the most poignant moments of the Hades saga. Hyoga recognizes his master beneath the infernal surplice. Camus fights without hesitation. In this exchange of blows, something intimate plays out: the final lesson of a master to his student — even if that lesson takes the form of a duel to the death.

Characteristics
Cold perfection as an ethic of life. Camus takes no pleasure in combat — he accomplishes. Every movement is calculated, every technique is a declaration of absolute rigor. His reincarnation as a Specter changes nothing: he is always the same man, simply in a different uniform.
The most tragic of masters: the one whose students must defeat him to fulfill themselves. Camus's arc is built around a painful irony — he spent his life training disciples to surpass him, and that is exactly what happens, under the most heartbreaking circumstances imaginable.
