Saint Seiya : Next Dimension
Meiō Shinwa — The Mythology of the King of the Underworld
Synopsis
A direct sequel to the original series signed by Kurumada himself, Next Dimension picks up where volume 28 left off. Pegasus Seiya lies in a deep coma, victim of the after-effects of his battle against Hades. The curse can only be broken by travelling back in time to the previous holy war.
Tenma, the young Pegasus Saint of the 18th Holy War (18th century), and Andromeda Shun cross time to reach that era. They encounter Sasha — the reincarnation of Athena of that age —, and Alone, a painter whose tragic destiny reveals him as the reincarnation of Hades.
Next Dimension shares its historical context with Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas, while bringing Kurumada's unique graphic style. The series concluded in July 2024 after 18 years of irregular publication in Weekly Shōnen Champion.
