The Lost Canvas Ep.1 — The Promise

In 18th-century Italy, three orphans grow up together: Tenma, Alone, and Sasha. Their friendship is the center of their world, and they make a simple promise — to always find each other, no matter what. But fate has other plans.

One day, Alone begins painting with a supernatural talent, drawing the attention of dark forces. Tenma senses something strange in his friend but cannot yet name what he sees in his eyes. It is the beginning of an irreparable rift.

Sasha is revealed to be the reincarnation of Athena, and Tenma is recruited as the Pegasus Saint. The Holy War against Hades, foretold for centuries, begins. The childhood promise becomes the only thread still connecting Tenma to his lost friend.
