Soul of Gold Ep.2 — The Secret of Yggdrasil Revealed!

Yggdrasil — the World Tree of Norse mythology — is not merely a symbol. In Soul of Gold, it is a living structure, a reservoir of cosmic energy that irrigates all of Asgard. The Gold Saints begin to understand that their resurrection is no small gift: it is linked to Yggdrasil, and someone deliberately used the Tree to bring them back.

The episode introduces Andreas, the mysterious ruler governing Asgard in Hilda's absence. His character is immediately ambiguous — he does not attack head-on, preferring to manipulate, to create tensions between the Gold Saints and the inhabitants of Asgard. His connection to Yggdrasil is visibly deeper than he lets on.

The episode's key revelation: Yggdrasil absorbs and concentrates Cosmos — including that of the Gold Saints who have just returned to life. In other words, their resurrection may have a price that no one has yet measured. The tree is feeding someone, or something, waiting in the shadows.
