Camus of Aquarius
♒ Gold Knight — AquariusThere is a philosophical question embodied in a character in Saint Seiya: can one love someone by teaching them not to love? Camus of Aquarius is this living contradiction. Born in France, trained on the icy plains of Siberia until he mastered absolute zero, he met a child named Hyoga and decided to make him his disciple — all while teaching him that attachment is weakness, that emotions are flaws, and that true power is born of total detachment.
His Aurora Execution reaches the physical limits of the possible: at this temperature, all matter ceases to vibrate. Camus does not destroy — he suspends, he freezes, he reduces the opponent to the absolute silence of zero. And to reach such cold, he must paradoxically burn with an exceptionally intense Cosmos, mastered inward until it produces its exact opposite. Camus is himself this contradiction: a man of burning discipline whose manifestation is the most total cold.
When he faces Hyoga in the Sanctuary's corridors, the scene is unbearably beautiful and painful. Master against disciple, each knowing exactly what the other is capable of, each secretly hoping the other will find the strength to surpass him. And when Camus dies alongside Saga and Shura to open the road to the Underworld, it is with the serenity of someone who always knew this moment would come — and who prepared for it every day of his life.
