Ryūhō is the Dragon Saint in Saint Seiya Omega and the son of Shiryu — the legendary Bronze Saint of the original series. Of all the characters in Omega, he carries the most explicit weight of legacy: he grows up in the shadow of one of the most respected warriors in the Sanctuary's history.

Trained not by his father but by Fudō of Virgo — a Gold Saint — Ryūhō possesses a technical foundation superior to his Bronze companions. Cold, reserved and disinclined to emotional displays, he immediately recalls Shiryu in his attitude. But behind this stoic facade lies a deep loyalty to Kōga and the group.

His narrative arc revolves around a fundamental question: is he Ryūhō, or merely Shiryu's son? The answer comes in his mastery of the Dragon Emperor Hien Ryū Ha — a technique authentically his own, forged by his own experience and battles, that surpasses even what his father accomplished.

Abilities & Techniques

Rozan Shō Ryū Ha

The technique inherited from his father Shiryu — the devastating Cosmos dragon of Mount Lu Shan. Ryūhō executes it with his own signature, slightly different in trajectory.

Dragon Emperor Hien Ryū Ha

His personal technique, developed under Fudō's tutelage. A celestial dragon of power surpassing the original technique of his father.

Defensive Mastery

Like Shiryu, Ryūhō tends to combine a devastating attack with solid defence. His Dragon Cloth, near-indestructible in its golden scale, amplifies this philosophy.

Heavy Legacy

The weight of Shiryu's legacy is both his strength and his torment. Ryūhō must constantly prove he is more than his father's son — something he achieves through his own path.

Evolution

01 —Training under Fudō of Virgo — Unlike the other Bronze Saints, Ryūhō is trained by a Gold Saint — Fudō of Virgo. This elite training gives him a technical foundation superior to his peers.

02 —Confronting his identity — The question of whether he fights in Shiryu's shadow or in his own name is the thread running through his evolution. Ryūhō settles this question through deeds, not words.

03 —Rivalry with Eden — Eden, the Orion Saint and son of Mars, is his main rival. Their clashes reflect the tension between legacy and freedom, light and darkness.

04 —Dragon Emperor — The culmination of his evolution: the Dragon Emperor Hien Ryū Ha, a technique authentically his own that his father could never have executed.
