Kōga is the main protagonist of Saint Seiya Omega and the new wearer of the Pegasus Cloth. Raised under Athena's own protection, he long remains unaware of his destiny as a Saint. When Mars attacks the Sanctuary, it is his nascent Cosmos — burning with rage and love for Saori — that suddenly awakens, revealing extraordinary power.
What sets Kōga apart from every Pegasus Saint before him is his ability to wield both polarities of the Cosmos: the Light, the foundation of all of Athena's Saints, and the Darkness, normally considered a corruption. Rather than being destroyed by it, he integrates both forces into a unique power — his Double Cosmos.
Impulsive and passionate like his predecessor Seiya, Kōga holds absolute loyalty to his companions and Athena. His five allies — Yuna, Ryūhō, Haruto, Sōma and Eden — form with him a brotherhood comparable to the original five Bronze Saints, driven by the same ideal of protecting the innocent.
Abilities & Techniques
Light Cosmos
Inherited from the tradition of Athena's Saints, the Light Cosmos is the fundamental force of Kōga. It allows him to execute his techniques with speed and raw power.
Darkness Cosmos
A unique trait of Kōga in the Omega universe: he can also wield the Darkness Cosmos. Far from being corrupted by it, he turns it into an additional weapon, reaching extraordinary power.
Galaxian Explosion
His ultimate technique — a cosmic blast combining both polarities of his Cosmos. The final version, the Omega Explosion, is one of the most devastating attacks in the series.
Inherited Will
Like Seiya before him, it is his determination to protect those he loves that multiplies his Cosmos in critical moments. Fear and pain have no hold on him.
Evolution
01 —Childhood under Athena's protection — Kōga grows up under the tutelage of Saori/Athena, still unaware of his destiny as the Pegasus Saint. This relationship forges the depth of his loyalty.
02 —Cosmos awakening and discovery of the Cloth — Following Mars' attack on the Sanctuary, Kōga comes into contact with the Pegasus Cloth. His Cosmos awakens in a context of absolute threat.
03 —Corruption by Darkness — Kōga is exposed to Mars' Darkness Cosmos. Rather than succumbing to it, he gradually manages to integrate it — a unique evolution among all Saints.
04 —Confrontation with Mars — Revelation about the ties between Mars, himself and Athena. The season 1 final battle sees Kōga push both his Cosmos to their absolute limits.
05 —War against Pallas (Season 2) — Now more mature, Kōga faces the goddess Pallas and her Pallasites. His mastery of the Double Cosmos reaches its peak in the final battle against Titan and Pallas herself.
