The Star Paradox

The origin of the rift is revealed: a being capable of manipulating time seeks to rewrite the Holy War to their advantage, erasing Athena's victories and reconstituting the armies of her defeated enemies. Their goal is not to conquer the present but to corrupt the past — for if the founding battles end in defeat, Athena will never have existed as a protective force for humanity.

The Gold Saints enter massively into play. Their legendary Cosmo is needed to stabilize the temporal rupture points. But each intervention in the past risks erasing something essential in the present — and some Gold Saints discover with amazement versions of themselves who made radically different choices.
