Shattered Eternity

The climax of the Time Odyssey. To permanently close the rift and prevent the temporal antagonist from rewriting the history of the Holy War, the Saints must accept a painful truth: certain moments of the past cannot be changed, not because it is impossible, but because erasing them would mean erasing the very reason they survived.

Seiya, at the center of the denouement, burns his Cosmo to the limit to seal the rift. Shattered Eternity closes on a note that reconciles the meaning of sacrifice — the cardinal theme of the original series — with the question of time: Holy Wars leave indelible marks, not to condemn those who survived them, but to remind them of what they chose to fight for.
