The Handmaidens of Discord

Eris dispatches her own handmaidens — warriors corrupted by discord — to confront the Saintia. These antagonists are not mere fighters: some were once Saintia themselves, corrupted by the Golden Apple. The mirror between what they are and what the Saintia could become weighs heavily on Shoko and her companions.

Mii, one of the Saintia, reveals unexpected depth in this arc. Her past — her reason for serving Athena, the sacrifices she has made — is sketched through a battle that pushes her to her very limits. Saintia Shō builds its secondary characters with the same care as its main heroine.
