The Black Knights are formidable antagonists wearing armors of darkness, evil doubles of Athena's Bronze Knights. Corrupted warriors who abandoned their duty to protect justice, their black armors symbolize their betrayal and their allegiance to the forces of darkness.

Among them, Ikki of the Black Phoenix is the most iconic — his rage and thirst for vengeance make him a fearsome opponent before he ultimately joins the side of the heroes.
