Dohko — The Awakening of Libra

Young Dohko — the one who will later become the 261-year-old Dohko in the original series — is still a teenager in this arc. His appointment as Libra Gold Knight is recent, and he must learn to bear the weight of this particular constellation: its sacred weapons, its philosophy of justice and balance, its unique relationship with violence.

His relationship with Shion — the future Grand Pope of the original series, then still young — is developed here. Two teenagers who do not yet know they will survive an entire holy war and live for centuries. The lightness of their friendship contrasts with the crushing fate that awaits them.
