The Cursed of Gemini

The Gemini arc in the Gaiden goes back to the origins of the fraternal drama between Aspros and Defteros. Born twins of the cursed constellation, the two brothers have destinies assigned from birth: one will wear the Gold Armor, the other will be cast out as the Evil Gemini — an ancient, cruel tradition that divides twin births into light and shadow.

Defteros is separated from Aspros very young and raised in isolation, like a secret weapon the Sanctuary keeps in reserve. Aspros, living with the guilt of his brother's forced abandonment, develops a protective obsession that eats away at him. This arc reveals the precise moment when Aspros's brotherly love began to twist into something darker.
