Elysium

Entry into Elysium — the paradise of the gods, Hades' last sanctuary — marks the beginning of the war's final phase. Tenma, El Cid, and the surviving Knights face guardians of absolute divine power. Hypnos and Thanatos, the two brother guardians of Elysium, are adversaries of an entirely different caliber from the Specters.

El Cid engages Thanatos in a battle he knows he cannot win by strength alone. But his conviction — his absolute faith in justice and in Athena — allows him to hold on long enough for Tenma to advance. The human limits before the divine are pushed to their extreme.
