The Gods Intervene

The true nature of the threat begins to reveal itself: behind the murders at the Sanctuary lies a divine hand. The gods of Olympus — not the primordial Titans as in Episode G, but the Olympian deities themselves — have decided to intervene directly in earthly affairs. The reason is not yet clear, but their power is of an entirely different magnitude.

Hermes, messenger of the gods, appears as the first divine emissary. His presence is ambiguous — he does not attack openly but observes, probes, tests. His attitude toward the Gold Saints is that of a being evaluating them for a purpose only he knows. The intrigue expands beyond the Sanctuary to encompass the politics of the Olympian gods.
