Before the Night

The final volume of Episode G is a conclusion that is also an opening. Aiolia and his companions return to their daily lives as Gold Saints — training, guarding, living at the Sanctuary. But everything has changed. Each carries within him new certainties and new questions forged in the crucible of the war against the Titans.

Saga appears in the final pages with an icy serenity — the man who will soon take control of the Sanctuary by posing as the Pope. His gaze at Aiolia carries something indefinable: pride for a warrior he has partly shaped, and something darker. Episode G closes on this ambiguous silence, leaving the reader on the threshold of the original series.
