The Defeat of Cronos

Cronos is defeated — not annihilated, but sent back to the imprisonment that was his. His final words to Aiolia are those of a being who accepts defeat without fully understanding why: he was more powerful, more ancient, more vast. And yet something in these mortals surpassed him — something he cannot name and that he, a primordial being, does not possess.

Aiolia emerges from this battle changed. He has touched something fundamental about what it means to be a Saint — not simply a cosmic warrior, but a being who fights for something greater than himself. The thought of his brother Aioros accompanies him in this moment of dearly won victory.
