The Truth About Aioros

The Truth arc truly begins here. Clues accumulated since the start of the series begin to form a coherent picture: Aioros was not a traitor. He fled with the infant Saori Kido because he had discovered something abominable at the top of the Sanctuary — something someone wanted to silence at the cost of his life.

Aiolia receives fragmented information that shakes his vision of the Sanctuary. His faith in the institution he has served all his life is put to the test. The revelation that the Pope might not be who he claims to be is introduced in this arc — in filigree, so that Aiolia must himself assemble the pieces. His loyalty and his lucidity enter into conflict.
