Saint Seiya: Dark Wing

Saint Seiya: Dark Wing is an official spin-off manga created by Kenji Saitô (story) and Shinshû Ueda (art), based on the original work of Masami Kurumada. Serialized since December 2020 in the Japanese magazine Champion Red, it has been published in France by Kurokawa since February 2023.

The series tells the Holy War from an unprecedented angle: that of the Underworld. Shôichirô Tokitô, an ordinary high school student, wakes up after a shipwreck in the realm of the dead and discovers he has become the Wyvern, one of Hades' Three Judges — while his twin brother Sôjirô dons the Gold Cloth of Gemini and their childhood friend Cattleya turns out to be the reincarnation of Athena.

Dark Wing explores broken brotherhood, loyalty to opposing camps, and the grey areas between the Sanctuary and the Underworld, while introducing new mysteries — including the 'memory of the Surplices' — and an unprecedented antagonist, the god Yaldabaoth.
