Distrust

A second murder shakes the Sanctuary. The victim is a Gold Saint whose combat skills were renowned — meaning the assassin surpasses them, or at least caught them completely off guard. The absence of signs of struggle at certain crime scenes suggests something terrifying: the victims knew their killer.

Aiolia confronts his own certainties. In Episode G he was learning to fight for something greater than himself; here, he must learn to doubt those he loved without reservation. Lithos, whose origins remain mysterious, reveals knowledge of the Sanctuary that doesn't match her apparent profile — making her as much a suspect as a potential ally.
