Poseidon
Volume 10 · Megumu Okado
Poseidon — god of the Seas, brother of Zeus — makes a devastating appearance. Unlike the other Olympian gods who intervened directly, Poseidon operates through emissaries and indirect manipulation before revealing his presence. His power over the waters, the liquid cosmos that governs emotions and the unconscious, allows him to affect the Saints insidiously.
Camus of Aquarius — master of frozen water — is in a paradoxical position facing the god of the Seas: their domains overlap, but their philosophy is radically opposed. Camus has transformed water into ice, into something fixed, controlled, silent. Poseidon is unleashed power, an unstoppable flow. Their confrontation is an exploration of two antagonistic relationships to the same substance.
